Tru-ru-roo-ROOOOOOO-man

Looks like I got myself a howler.

He's definitely...how did Amy put it? "Opinionated." Truman is a vocal little guy, which is apparently a trait (like many others) he and his brother Tai share. When Truman has to piddle, he whines, which is helpful. When he's dissatisfied with something, like the amount of attention I'm paying to him, he whines, which is less helpful. Then, when he's truly upset, he'll throw back his tiny head and let out the silliest little howl...it sounds like a rooster.

Tempting as it is to try to get a picture of it, I know it's behavior I'm *supposed* to be correcting....

Interesting. Rockwell was also pretty vocal. Uma didn't even bark until she was about 6 months old! Get lots of cuddling in early, because pretty soon he will be a BIG boy.

thanks for the comment, if you're a regular reader, I'm also an owner of a rescued dog named Gatsby. We're a regular at the dog beaches out here, I wish I could have kept Lucky:( But I've made up with that since:)

It is fairly amazing that I did make it to being an adult!

Haha, Juneau was definately guilty of this one as a little puppy - particularly at night if I had an exam to write the next day.

Hey Jenny, the head tilted back howl is kind of cute in the beginning but as the lungs grow so does the volume and intensity!! Jive was 4 months before she finally gave up......I'm sure Truman won't take that long!

:) I bet it really helps his masculine ego to hear he howls like a rooster! :) Wait I got it. Maybe he's ruling the roost as the only guy in the house, so yeah... There you go Truman I'm roostin- err rootin for ya! :)

Stella was a howler as a tiny puppy. Ah, who am I kidding, she still is a howler occasionally. LOL! It's not so funny though at 5AM on my day off.
Hope Truman gets through the howling puppy phase soon.
