Time Flies

Lomax has been in formal training for a week now, which means he's halfway through his thorough medical exams. No news is good news!

I was thinking just the other day that I had him for just over ten months. Didn't seem like that long to me, and it makes me wonder how quickly sixteen or eighteen months will pass when I start all over again with a teeny puppy.

This photo was taken on September 21, 2005, on his first day with me:

This one was taken on August 3, 2006, at the company picnic just a couple of days before turn-in:

Also wanted to take a little poll...I'm trying to decide whether to start an entirely new blog for the next dog (and puppies I watch before he arrives), or to continue posting to this one. Fellow puppy raisers, what say you? I know some of you have a different blog for each dog. Advantages of that? Disadvantages? I'm leaning toward keeping things here, but would love to hear your opinions.

Love the pics! (Lomax looks so happy and smiley in the second one! =D)

As for your question, I vote to keep things here, but it's totally up to you! Good luck deciding!

Keep it here. They all are wild beasties. Some more wild and psycho than others (better living through chemistry, Ikey says.) Just don't tell Tom Cruise! K

I vote for making a new blog. For those of us with slower computers, the bigger the blog the longer it takes for it to load so starting a new blog would be nice :)

I also vote for keeping it here, maybe for continuity? I suppose it doesn't matter, really.

I love those shots of you and Lomax - you make a handsome couple! But I am sure that will be true of your next puppy too.

I have done a new one for each dog, as they like to write from their own views, and like to customize their site based on their own personality. :P

It does get to be a bit of a pain signing in and out when posting on both. I would imagine that it could be a bit of a nuisance for some people to check 2 blogs instead of one.

However I do like having each blog as sort of the 'whole story' of one puppy's life.

Anyway, there are my pros and cons.

I will be happy with whatever you choose, just as long as you keep posting!

I think you should leave it here. after all, it is like a continuing story! And that way new readers have an easy way to catch up on old adventures!

Unless lomax's new handler want to continue the story...but then they could always start a new one 2...

We vote for keeping it here. Even though the doggies will change, ultimately when it all boils down to it, the blog is really about YOU and your experiences with them.

I think you should keep the blog! it's awesome and you worked hard on it. I find keeping the blog is easier for me, just to switch from puppy to puppy on. But You could make a new one... i dunno.. I love the pictures though. You both are very pretty :P
